Kathleen J. “Kathy” Hendricks, 82, of Sycamore, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Dec. 21, 1940, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., the daughter of Jimmie and Pearl (Manning) Mc-Clintock, Kathy married James “Jim” Hendricks on Jan. 28, 1961, in Rock Falls.

Kathy served many years as the Sycamore Township Clerk and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was very involved at her church, Sycamore United Methodist, where she taught Sunday school, confirmation and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the high school Music Boosters and served the community via Meals on Wheels. Kathy enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Linda (John) Anderson and children Lauren, Matt and Mike Anderson; and son, Jim Hendricks and children Josiah and Zachariah; siblings, LaVonda (Ralph) Weidel, Larry McClintock, Ron (Mary) McClintock, and Elaine (Dave) Hoff; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to Salvation Army or charity of donor’s choice.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Ave., following visitation from 10-11 am.

Burial will be private at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling.
