Jerry Charles Ogden, 88, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.

Jerry was born June 28, 1935, in O’Kean, Arkansas to the late Henry and Glennis Haynes Ogden. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Germany. Jerry married Billie Lois Campbell in O’Kean on November 24, 1953. They were married 60 years.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Glennis Ogden; wife, Billie Lois Ogden; brothers, Dan and Charles Ogden; grandson, Steven Mitchell.

He is survived by his children, Cyndi Mitchell of Pocahontas, Tommy (Jennifer) Ogden of O’Kean, and Mark (Beth) Ogden of Swifton, Mike (Shannon) Ogden of Pocahontas, Amy (Darby) Clawson of Florence, OR and fur son Levi Ogden of the home; sisters, Imogene Carter of Pocahontas, Patsy (Joe Ed) Smith of Paragould, Becky Cook of Paragould, Cathy (William) Shoe of Walnut Ridge; brother Billy Ray (Nancy) Ogden of Kevil, KY.

He was the best papa to twelve grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Steve, Scott, Dylan, Cade, Cody, Kelsie, Kenan, Kenzie, Adam and Emily; seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 2, 2023, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Kenan Ogden, Adam Ogden, Kevin Foster, Rick Martin, Jared Mitchell and Jaxon Mitchell.

Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Jones, Jack Weitkamp, Dan Ellis, Sonny Ford, Doc Alphin, Gerry Alphin, Rod Wyatt and all of his farmer friends.
