Jerry Don Brown, 79, of Black Rock passed away July 18, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Jerry was born September 2, 1943, to the late Lloyd Brown and Eileen Martin. He was a lifelong member of the Operating Engineers Union and a member of the Teamsters. Jerry loved fishing, old cowboy movies, baseball, and old country music. He was a humble and kind man who believed in God and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Brown and Eileen Martin; and grandmother, Julie Martin.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Delores Brown; sons, Mark (Diana Hanson) Martin, John (Debra) Holifield, and Scott Holifield; daughter, Dena (James) Miller; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerry was also known as “Pop” or “Pawpaw” to many others.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10 AM – 12 PM in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. A Graveside service will follow at 12:15 PM in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Shane Hill, Warren Williams, Terry Ford, Jim Miller, Scott Holifield, and John Holifield Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are David Martin and Mike Emerson.
