Diane Scherrer

Diane Scherrer, 77, of Maynard, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas on April 22, 2023. Diane was born on June 29, 1945, to Rudolph and Gertie Williams.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband Billy Scherrer; parents Rudolph and Gertie Williams; son Billy Dale and Jimmy Lee; brother Clifford Williams; and sisters Fern Jones and Peggy Williams. Diane loved to cook with her family and watch her grandchildren play. Diane also enjoyed being in her garden.

Diane is survived by her son Eflan Wid (Sylvia) Scherrer of Naylor, Missouri; daughters Teresa Scherrer of Savannah, Tennessee, Lisa (Jeff) Harper of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Janie (Kendall) Lynxwiler of Maynard, Arkansas, and Becky Warden of Steele, Missouri; grandchildren Melissa (Ryan) Perkins, Anna (Tanner) Johnston, Lori Lynxwiler, April (Andy) Coffman, Ashley (Trent) Melton, Nicole Mann, Andrea (Isiah) Richardson, and Jessica Scherrer; great-grandchildren Erica, Savannah Perkins, Lexie Perkins, Drake Perkins, Natalie Cates, Hannah Cates, Alyssa Johnston, Madison Johnston, Noah Johnston, Isabella Coffman, Charlie Coffman, Sophia Coffman, Penny Coffman, Ava Melton, Moxson Melton, Mabri Melton, Xavier Richardson, Everleigh Woodall, Maci, and Allison Deleon; sisters Dorran (Frank) Garcia of California, Joan Stone of California, and Rose Houston of Harrisburg; special friends Loel Collier, Barb White, and Cindy Tillman; and many nieces and nephews. All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm; with the funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00 pm with Roger Hovis officiating. Diane will be laid to rest at Overby Cemetery.
