Freda Mae Koons, 89, of Jonesboro passed away April 3, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

Freda was born January 7, 1934, in Attica, AR. to the late Jim and Opal Winebaugh Waymon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Opal Winebaugh Waymon; husband, Billy James Koons; grandson, Ray Eads; siblings, Glenda Lemmons, Earnest Waymon, and Kenneth Waymon; and sons in law, Ray Brown and Rick George.

Freda is survived by her daughters, Joyce Brown of Jonesboro, AR. and Brenda George of Bono, AR.; 5 grandchildren, C.J. (Sarah) George, Dustin (Sarah) George, Chris (Stacey) George, Madison George all of Jonesboro, AR., and Brandi (Peter) Davis of Paragould, AR.; 8 great grandchildren; and sister, Geneva Waymon of Pocahontas, AR.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mc-Nabb Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens with family officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be C.J. George, Dustin George, Chris George, Noah George, Keith Waymon, and Peter Davis.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
