Bootsie Barre’

Enrica Rose “Bootsie” Barré, 87, of Pocahontas passed away March 19, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

Bootsie was born November 16, 1935, in Memphis, TN. to the late Edmond A. “Sam” and Rosa Lee Battistelli Leone. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church where she served on numerous committees at the church and the school. Bootsie was devoted to her family. She enjoyed vacationing with family and friends, her favorite hobby was oil painting, and she was passionate about cooking for her family.

Bootsie was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond A. “Sam” and Rosa Lee Battistelli Leone; husband, Dr. Hal Stephen Barré; sister, Al Jean Vescovo; and brother, Edmond Leone.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Barré Horton of Conway, AR.; sons, Hal Stephen Barré Jr. (Zoraida) of Jonesboro, AR., Christopher Alan Barré (Dawn) of Jonesboro, AR., and Joseph Detrick Barré (Denise) of Jonesboro, AR.; grandchildren, Laney Mann Kelley (Matt) of Conway, AR., Hunter Horton of Conway, AR., Heather Southe of Jonesboro, AR., Lauren Southe of Hawaii, Sam Alan Barré (Hannah) of Jonesboro, AR., Ben Barré (Emma) of Jonesboro, AR., Will Barré of Jonesboro, AR., Brittany Barré Roper (Jake) of Conway, AR., and Allie Barré of Fayetteville, AR.; great grandchildren, Carson and Collins Kelle y of Conway, AR., and Hudson Roper of Conway, AR.; and a host of close loving family and friends.

All services will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, Thursday, March 23, 2023, with a Rosary being said at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:45 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Elser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Sam Alan Barré, Ben Barré, Will Barré, Hunter Horton, Matt Kelley, and Jake Roper.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
