Dickie Waymon

Dickie Carl Waymon, 78, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his girls, on Friday, July 15, 2022. Dick was born on November 25, 1943, in Pocahontas to Marvin Waymon and Irene Waymon Cox.

Dick lived in Pocahontas all of his life. He was a member of the American Legion Riders and the Foothills Tractor Club. He drove a truck as his trade for many years. Some of his happiest moments were spent driving his truck on a long haul with his wife, Faye.

In his retirement Dick worked alongside his son, Bill in the shop behind his house doing various odd jobs like welding and mechanic work for friends. He loved to ride his Harleys and would go rides with the American Legion Riders and his friends.

Dick loved his family with everything he had, and will be missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten by his family.

Dick will be met in Heaven by his parents, wife Anna Faye, infant daughter Angela Annette, brothers, Bill Henson, Bob Henson and Benny Waymon, and his sister Vickie Thompson.

Dick will be waiting in Heaven for his sons, Bill (Kelly) Waymon, Jake Kellett; his daughter, Kelly (Kenny) Shipman; his beloved granddaughters, Brittney (Tom) Riffel, Tina (Jeff) Junkersfeld and Hailey Medlock and his treasured great grandchildren, Clayton Rush, Rowan, Ryker, Lakelyn and Navy Kate; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Legacy Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Dick and his family in their time of need.

The family will be receiving friends after at Dick’s home on Hoelscher Lane.

All services were held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Burial followed in the Johnston Cemetery, in Reyno.

Honored to carry Dick to his final earthly resting place were Jeff Junkersfeld, Tom Riffel, Shawn Davis, Rodney Dulgar, Donnie Medlock, and Jake Kellett..

The family designated Kenny Shipman as honorary pallbearer.
