Phillip Charles “Charlie” Brown

Phillip Charles “Charlie” Brown, 75, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home.

He was born September 14, 1946 in Black Rock to the late Charlie Wilson and Ethel Phillips Brown. He worked as a road grader operator and was a member of Sutton Free Will Baptist Church.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ethel Brown; brother, Carl Brown; and sisters, Cathy Richey, Elaine Ragan, and Letha Brown.

He is survived by his wife Sherri Clark Brown; sons, Tony (Becky) Brown, Mark (Robin) Brown, and Kevin (Jamie) Brown; grandchildren, Derek (Kaylin) Brown, Alex Brown, Austin Brown, Phillip Brown, Adam (Kalie) Brown, Colton Brown, Mazie Brown, Dylan (Carol) Ford, and Jace (Kaytie) Ford; great grandchildren, Holden, Hayes, Harper, Colby, Brayleigh, and Carson; one niece, several nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 10-11 AM at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM with Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Charlie’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
