Travis Tyler 1938-2022

Travis Tyler, 84, of the Noland community passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Noland on Tuesday, February 1, 1938 to the late Leslie “Possum” and Therma “Billie” Sisson. She was known to everyone as “Granny.” Granny loved crocheting, quilting, playing cards, and taking care of “little people.” She was a faithful member of the Noland Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Nathan Sisson, Jeanie Sisson, and Vada Riney; daughter, Patty Tyler; and great-grandson, Cameron Blakey. Granny is survived by her loving hus band of 66 years, Glen Tyler; their children, Mickey (Sandy) Tyler, Vickie Pinion, Angie Cude, Ed (Elisa) Tyler, Kevin (Lisa) Tyler, Nathan Tyler, and Jody Tyler; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Joan Hulse, Leslie (Diane) Sisson, and Aaron (Genia) Sisson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 12-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Joshua Dement officiating and special music provided by Hannah Tyler. Burial will follow in Noland Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Granny’s grandsons, Jason, Brandon, Adam, Hunter, Scott, Brett, Payden, and Lil Joe. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin and Alec. The Tyler family wishes to extend a special thank you to Legacy Hospice and especially to Barbra Wood for her loving care.
