R.C. Rexroad, 85, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away in his home on December 31, 2021. R.C. was born in Pocahontas, AR, on July 27, 1936, the son of Berry Rexroad and Edna Boyd R e x r o a d . After the death of his mother, he was raised by his loving stepmother, Ruby Crawford Rexroad.

After graduating from Pocahontas High School in 1954, he moved to Rockford, IL He married Roberta Westmoreland Rexroad on July 28, 1957. R.C. served with the US Army in Korea. He retired in 1994 from Rockford Powertrain after working there for 30 years. He was a member of Maywood Evangelical Free Church. R.C. is survived by his wife of 64 years, Roberta; two sons, Robert ((Katharine) Rexroad of Leesburg, Va; Kerry Rexroad of Bagdad, KY; five grandchildren, S a r a h Rexroad of Roanoke, V A ; S a m u e l (Jaymisyn) Rexroad of Columbus, M S ; Nichol a s (Ellie) Rexroad of Blacksburg, VA; Nathaniel Rexroad and Caleb Rexroad, both of Colorado Springs, CO; two foster great grandchildren Maverick and Andrew; brother Dan (Kathy) Rexroad of Black Hawk, SD; niece Barbara Byers; nephews Garry Hibbard, Jonathan Rexroad and Andrew Rexroad; and many cousins. Predeceased by his father, mother, stepmother and sister, Marjorie Hibbard.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Maywood Church in Rockford
