Diane Zelda Hill

Diane Zelda Hill 67 of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, January 9 2022 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Diane was born in Pocahontas to the late Lloyd and Lorene
Hill and grew up in Northeast Arkansas. She was the salutatorian of her graduating class at M a y n a r d H i g h School. She also won the M i s s Randolph County Beauty Pageant. She was a lifelong educator, that inspired others to excel in knowledge and in character. Diane was a teacher in Maynard, Arkansas for 27 years before moving to Fort Worth, Texas. Teaching was her passion, her life, and her love. Nothing made Diane happier than seeing children excited about a topic being discussed, wanting to learn more, and seeing their eyes light up because they understood a subject. She genuinely cared about everyone. Diane left a special place in the hearts of all those she touched. She was preceded in death
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Lorene (Foster) Hill, her b r o t h e r D e n n i s Hill and her Aunt Pat Tracy. She is s u r v i v e d by her uncle Bill Tracy of Pocahontas, Arkansas and four cousins Angela Tracy of Pocahontas, Suzanna Peebles of Batesville, Arkansas, Steve Foster of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Terry Foster of Maynard, Arkansas. She also leaves behind a host of long-time friends and coworkers.
There will be a private family memorial at a later date so expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to her family.
