Tony Lee Saylors, 57, of Milton, FL formerly of Pocahontas, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at his home.
He was born January 14, 1968 in Pocahontas to the late Everette Lee Saylors and Patricia Ann Smith Morgan. Tony retired after 22 years as police officer with Pocahontas Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, and Lieutenant over Black River Technical College Police Department. Tony’s kids and grandkids were his world, and he loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette Saylors and Patricia Morgan; stepfather, Golie Morgan; and father-in-law, Carl Bland.
Tony is survived by his wife of 39 years, Starla Saylors; sons, Tony Saylors II and Holden Saylors; daughter, Kristen Saylors; sisters, Ann Reed, Susan (Shannon) Silkwood, and Cheryl Saylors; brother, Dennis (Shelly) Morgan; mother-in-law, Linda Bland; brothers-in-law, Scott (Sherry) Bland, Anna (Jamie) Flanery; grandchildren, Kathryn Saylors, Chloe Saylors, Tony Saylors III, Grayson Saylors, Tegan Saylors, Drake Saylors, Easton Saylors, Tessa Saylors, and Jaxson Saylors; nephews, Perry (Kelli) Vallance, Jonathan (Carleigh) Vallance, Nathan Flanery, and Caleb (Mattie) Flanery; nieces, Shanna Seckler, Anna Nichole (Ethan) Buckley, Linda (Brian) Anderson, and Elizabeth Bland; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2025 from 12-2 PM at the Pocahontas Church of God of Prophecy with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Dan Avery officiating. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Perry Vallance, Jonathan Vallance, Caleb Flanery, Nathan Flanery, Ethan Buckley, Brian Anderson, and Tim Haynes.
Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Mulligan, Cecil Tackett, Seth Koster, and Justin Bibb.
