CHARLES “CHARLIE” VERNON BLOUNT

 Charles “Charlie” Vernon Blount, 71, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Mountain Home. He was born on March 6, 1954, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Floyd and Emma (Bergman) Blount. Charlie was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Pocahontas and attended St. Paul Catholic School. He later attended Black River Technical College and earned a degree as a tool and die maker. For 17 years he worked at TRW Cinch in Pocahontas. Charlie later went to work at Baxter Healthcare (Baxter Lab) in Mountain Home and retired after 30 years of working there. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, old westerns and spending time with family and friends.
 He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol (Wells) Blount; one son, Dwight (Wendy) Blount); two daughters, Brandy (Chris) Proctor and Melody (Wayne) Cooper; nine grandchildren, Austin Blount, Morgan, Nathan and Britney Jenkins, Ryan Cooper, Luke Proctor and Darren, Tristan and Legend Blount; one great-grandson, Parker Jenkins; three brothers, Richard, Greg and Dennis Blount and three sisters, Rose Penn, Cathy Wells and Linda Sloan. He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Blount; his parents, Floyd and Emma Blount and one brother, Jim Blount.
