PAMELA ANN FAIR

Pamela Ann Fair, 69, of Pocahontas passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Medical Center. She was born on April 30, 1956, in Pocahontas, AR to Junior and Peggy Rickman Smith. Pam was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She was a 1974 graduate of Pocahontas High School. Mrs. Pam as she was known to the many children she kept during her 35 years of operating a day care, providing care for 3 generations of children. Her caring nature and steadfast love left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Pam enjoyed working with her flowers and plants, spending time at Kentucky Lake with her sister Venita, traveling, and making her “famous” sugar cookies for her grandkids. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Junior Smith, and by her sister, Sandy Smith Shipley. She is survived by her best friend-husband, Mike Fair; her mother, Peggy Smith; children, Heather (Kris) Pankey, Nick Liebhaber, and Alex Liebhaber; stepchildren, Joey (Christina) Fair, and Amy (Cody) Hopper; her loving grandchildren, Abby Pankey, Karson Pankey, Anthony Fair, Ashlyn Fair, Gage Hopper, Hennessy Hopper, and Bentley Hopper; siblings, Mike (Carol) Smith, Venita (Randy) Rider, and Susie (Bill) Mitchell. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, 2025, from 12-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Clyde Hackworth and Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Sutton Cemetery.

Gladen was born in the Jackson County Hospital in Mississippi on March 14, 1944, to the late Gladen Wilson Dockens Sr., and Inez Gibson Dockens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladen and Inez Dockens; sisters, Bonnie Wright and Lois Parker; son-in-law, JB McCarroll. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Hufstedler Dockens of the home; children, Dana McCarroll of Wesson, MS., Amy Dockens Boutwell of Wesson, MS., Tonya (Jamie) Moore of Cape Girardeau, MO., and Greg (Mary) Lawson of friends. follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Fun Day at Riverfront Park set for June 28

The City of Pocahontas Parks & Recreation is seeking vendors and crafters to participate at the Fun Day at Riverfront Park Event talent show and cornhole tournament. There will be a limited number of spots. Price for retail vendors is $35, while food vendors will be $75 both with paid peddlers fee with the City of Pocahontas. Studio 67 Theater Company announces dates for drama camps

Studio 67 Theater Company located at 214 W. Everett in Pocahontas will host drama camps this summer for kids ages 8-17. The three camps include Hamilton, June 16 to 19; Wicked, July 7 to 10 and Rebels, July 14 to 17. Registration is $75 per class or you may register for all 3 classes for $175. To register call 870-378-7507. All camps are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the kids will need to bring a sack lunch.
