Since its reestablishment in July 2023, the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force has already made substantial strides in combating drug trafficking across northeast Arkansas, leading to multiple large-scale seizures and arrests. According to a news release from the DTF, the task force was initially disbanded in 2019 but was relaunched last summer with the assistance of Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell, Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell, Lawrence County Sheriff Tony Waldrupe and Jackson County Sheriff Russell Brinsfield.
