Pocahontas High School Announces Homecoming Maids and Theme

Pocahontas High School has rolled out its 2024 homecoming theme, “Redskins by 90”. The celebration will feature a parade and ceremonies, with dates and times to be announced soon. The homecoming maids are sophomore maids, Mary Morgan Jansen, Anna Overman and Jacalyn Chester. The Junior Maids are Ashley Baltz, Audrey Holt, Kenzie Ogden and Lilly Thielemier. The Senior Maids chosen are Blakey Williams, Carli Chester, Lauren Chester, Paisley Baltz and Abby Liebhaber.

In Pocahontas, home of the mighty Redskins, high school football games are a highly anticipated Friday night tradition. Although the main attraction under those Friday night lights is the football game, the Pocahontas High School Marching Band is right in the middle of the excitement, energizing the crowd and leading the bleachers in song.

My friends and I would gather to ride that spinning contraption over and over until we were dizzy, all the while begging the operator to let us go one more time.
