Pocahontas makes financial arrangements for future EV-charging stations throughout the city

The Pocahontas City Council met on Tuesday, July 9 at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. Mayor Keith Futrell called the meeting to order with four of five council The floor was open for public comments. One gentleman had a concern about late water bills, as well as charges from Pocahontas Waterworks regarding his water meter. Mayor Futrell invited him to come by his office that week to discuss his frustrations about the unexpected costs on his water meter and to direct him to the right people on the water commission to speak with.

(originally printed in the Star Herald, March 10, 2018) Once upon a Honeymoon, the year was 1963, and had to be the hottest August on record, well at least till the following August that is, for that was when our first born was to come into the world! The Honeymoon just sort of dropped out of the sky so to speak, for none had been planned, as there was no money for one, it was just as simple as that! There was a load of water melons waiting to be delivered to Farmington, New Mexico, and the guy that was supposed to take them, had backed out. So Cubert told Frank (Vincent) he would take them if he wanted him to, and so we did.
