Jerald Alden Robinson, 51, of England AR passed from this world on May 23, 2024. Jerald was a graduate of Pocahontas High School and Arkansas State University. He loved talking with all people and never met a stranger.
The annual Juneteenth celebration will take over the court square in Pocahontas on June 15, offering a day packed with events for all ages. Starting at 10 a.m., retail and food vendors will set up alongside a Kids Zone, which will remain open until 4 p.m.

The Randolph County Coroner position was declared vacant and filled at a Quorum Court meeting on May 30. John Paul Theilemier, former RC Coroner, is moving out of the state in June.

Randolph County Judge Ben Wicker has declared a disaster for the county following severe tornado and storm damage. Damage assessments are ongoing. Residents and business owners who have suffered damage are urged to report to the Randolph County Judge’s Office at 870-892-5264.
