Peggy Webster

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Sue Webster (Ward) who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of sixty-one. Peggy, as she was fondly known, was born on July 6, 1962, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Opal and Cletis Ward.

Carma Dyer

Carma Jean Dyer, 89, of Reyno entered her heavenly home Sunday March 10, 2024, at Pocahontas Health and Rehab Center. Carma was born way up in the hills of Randolph County on April 2, 1934, to Willie Wilson “Bud” Buckley and Ollie Long Buckley. She lived on the Knob up by Mud Creek. She retired from Brown Shoe after 43 years.

KASU hosts fundraiser

A spring fundraiser will be held by KASU 91.9 FM, the radio station broadcasting from the campus of Arkansas State University, Wednesday through Friday, March 27-29. “Spring Forward into Giving,” is a “Pop-Up Fun(d) Drive” hosted by KASU to reach their $30,000 spring fundraising goal.

From the Humane Society….

In the blink of an eye, trees have leafed out, perennials and shrubs have burst into their flowering glory, grass is growing (unfortunately, it also needs to be mowed!), butterflies are flitting about, and birds are singing. If we take a moment to look around, there is much to be thankful for, regardless of the current world situation. Perhaps it is also an opportunity to teach our homebound kids a thing or two – identifying trees, flowers, birds, and even insects.
