Life is a Journey

I forgot more than I can remember, and before I forget it all, I thought maybe I should share a little bit of just what life with Red has been like. Now, if he is lucky, and makes it till tomorrow, he will be 73! His favorite read is the Obits, in the newspaper every morning. So bright and early, I have to listen to who didn’t make it through the night. He cannot read them to himself, even after me telling him repeatedly, I don’t want to hear who has passed. Still, he has to read them out loud; it’s a bit like his benediction on the newly departed! I would just once like to get to noon without having to mourn someone’s passing. I would like to think positive thoughts and kick the day off right. Maybe do some little cheers, sing, or do the happy dance! No good will come from reading the obits to your spouse or child each morning!
