Grants offered for nonprofits

Nonprofits in Clay, Lawrence and Randolph counties can go to arcf. org/givingtree beginning Jan. 10 to apply online for Giving Tree Grants through North Delta Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation. Applications must be submitted online by Feb. 15.

Soapmaking Workshop

Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble: A Soapmaking Workshop Saturday, February 25, 2023 9:00am – 1:00pm Registration Fee: $25; Ages 13+ Creating soap is not a difficult process – no more challenging than following a recipe for pastry and turning into a pie. Come join us in learning the art of making soap with the cold-process method. Participants will receive a booklet with soap recipes, several bars of home-made soap, and the knowledge of how to become squeaky clean! Please bring protective clothing, as some materials used are caustic and can burn. The registration fee covers the cost of materials. Please bring a sack lunch. May annual school election

A petition for a school board candidate seeking election at the Annual School Election held on May 9, 2023 may be circulated no earlier than December 1, 2022 and must be filed with the county clerk between 12:00 noon on February 22, 2023 and 12:00 noon on March 1, 2023.
