Archibald ‘Louie’ Trevillion Jr., 78, of Maynard, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Louie was born on Monday, September 27th, 1943, in St. Charles, Missouri to Archibald Louie Trevillion Sr., and Virginia Trevillion (Seckel).
Joseph Barry Wyland, 86, of Pocahontas, passed away June 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born November 21, 1935 in Cresson, PA to Norman and Mary Monica Waltz Wyland.

Earl Eugene Ramsey, 90, of Biggers passed away June 16, 2022, at his home. Earl was born October 4, 1931, in Pocahontas to the late Lehman and Delia Oliver Ramsey.
Phillip Charles “Charlie” Brown, 75, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home. He was born September 14, 1946 in Black Rock to the late Charlie Wilson and Ethel Phillips Brown.

The Pocahontas School District School Board met on Monday, January 20, at the junior high library. Karen Baltz, president of the board, submitted her letter of resignation and will no longer serve on the board.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, the 47th annual Ravenden Springs School reunion was held at the old school house. Due to the pandemic, the gathering was not held in 2020 or 2021.
Members of the Pocahontas City Council, with elected and other city officials, met for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on June 14. Mayor Keith Sutton updated the council on ARDOT’s plan for a potential north bypass around the city limits.
