Museum awarded Small Museum Grant

The Randolph County Heritage Museum has been notified that they have been awarded a Small Museum Grant from the Arkansas Heritage Division of the Parks, Heritage, and Tourism department. “This grant is designed to help cover the utility costs of museums like ours,” said Museum Director Rodney Harris. The Heritage Division awards up to $2,500 annually to small museums to identify Arkansas’s heritage and enhance the quality of life by discovering, preserving, and presenting the state’s cultural, historical and natural resources.

State Capitol Week in Review

When people call the state hotline to report suspected child abuse or neglect, about 80 percent are assigned to the Division of Children and Family Services. The other 20 percent are considered more serious, and are assigned to the State Police, which has a Division of Crimes Against Children.
