Another cool, windy but beautiful day. The first day of May so we know summer is just around the corner.
I don’t have the energy I had when I was younger to plant a large vegetable garden, but I always grow some tomato plants in large pots. I always put crumbled eggshells around the tomato plants (baked in the oven to sterilize them) as calcium prevents the tomatoes from getting dry rot. The exceptional cold winter seems to have been too much for my favorite herbs, mint and curly parsley, so I bought some new plants.

Victoria H. Bunton, daughter of the late Paul Sterns and Catherine Fyderkiewicz, was born on March 22,1932, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and departed this life on April 7, 2022, at her residence in Dudley, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Harold Andrew Kazzee, 77 of Pocahontas passed away April 22, 2022 at his home. Harold was born October 2, 1944 to the late Andrew Kazzee and Cecil Hill Kazzee in Pocahontas. He was a loving father, husband, and friend and will be dearly missed.
