Five Rivers Master Gardeners met for their regular meeting on Feb. 10, 2022, at Lawrence County Extension Office with 13 Members present. There were no regular meetings in December or January. Schedule of upcoming programs were given out by Karna McFadden. New members were given handbooks and Bylaws. List of new Master Gardeners and addresses were given out.

Black History Month is over now. We are into March with all of Arkansas’ wonderful, unpredictable spring weather. But here at the Eddie Mae Herron Center, we do not stop thinking about Black history just because the month is over. There are so many hidden and unsung African-Americans that deserve to have their stories told. We just held a memorial dedication for C.C. Scott, whose story of settling and farming and prospering in Randolph County, we felt needed to be uncovered.
